 LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."  Acts 1:8 (ESV)

Harvest Church is committed to taking the good news of Jesus Christ to the world and has accepted the Acts 1:8 Challenge. What is the Acts 1:8 Challenge?

"The Acts 1:8 Challenge is an opportunity for Southern Baptist churches to declare their commitment to a comprehensive missions strategy in their community (Jerusalem), state (Judea), continent (Samaria) and world (ends of the earth). In doing so, a church invites its denominational Acts 1:8 partners – their local association, state convention, the North American Mission Board, and the International Mission Board – to assist them."

We believe that God infinitely loves everyone he has created. He loves them so much that He gave us His only Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish, but might have eternal life.  By God’s design, believers are charged to take His message of hope to the lost in our community and beyond – even to the ends of the earth. Jesus has commissioned His church to accomplish this task in order to reach our generation and future generations for Christ.

We believe that humbly serving others and our community reflects the leadership of Jesus. We also believe that every follower of Christ is called to be a witness for Christ, proclaiming His message of hope to the world around them, while ministering to the needs of others.
